cosmo has looked into DIY leds alot. I gave up and bought a few Radions. If I did a light build, I would have everything on separate dimmable drivers for customization. But then you need a controller to make those work best as well.

Shameless bump here I guess but Im selling my BoostMU135 unit. Of course DIY would be the best way to go for color control and dimmability, but if you are looking to buy a unit I have one for sale.

Either way good luck with your LED decision! Chris (Biocube is his username) would be a great guy to talk to about DIY LEDs.

    Here is his ridiculous Biocube.

Honestly if you don't do the rapid led buid with a aquastyle addition, then I'd just do the reefbreeders. It really depends on how much work you want to do,

    But if you contact aquastyle
i think they will do custom kits for you, so you can get a full spectrum. Whatever you do UPGRADE to meanwell drivers.

Honetsly you need to do the math on the diff led systems, verse a reefbreeders, and decide what you think sounds cooler. DIY is prob easier to swap out and change, but the others are becoming easily changeable too.

True, I cant leave him out. If my memory serves correct he was the one that first jumped into the DIY LED movement on 3reef. Or was atleast the first one to document it. He knows his stuff, about pretty much everything.
