Maybe someone can shed some light on Xenia and why i can't seem to grow it. I have 5 watts of light per gallon and 6 powerheads for current on a 75gal. tank. I change about 10% of the water every week to help with water quality. Supplementing with kalkwaser, lugol's solution, strontium and molybdenum are also part of my regimen. My Xenia starts out well and it grows and spreads for about 3 months. Only to see it wither away after that.
The Xenia isn't next to any coral that may kill it and I don't have any fish that would experiment with it. Temperature is at 78. Somebody pppllleeeaaaasssseeee help me:confused:

Test for it if you add it

How much strontium and molybdenum are you adding?
    Are you testing for it?
some people say strontium will stunt the growth of corals
    Are you testing for iodine?
lugol's solution has iodine. Too much iodine will cause problems.
It is a good policy not to add ANYTHING you are not testing for
