Anyone use this lighting system? LUMENTEK PRO 120 - Reef Radiance
I'm thinking of buying one for my new SC Aquariums 50g Cube. I think it'll be a good fit. Any thoughts?

They look similar to the Evergrow Full Spectrum 120W Dimmable units that a lot of us here bought for our tanks, me included. The ones you are looking at seem to have a LCD control on them which is a plus. I'm sure they are good, maybe my bump in the thread will get someone who has them to chime in. Btw, hows the SC Aquarium Cube? Build wise and quality.

It's in the mail, should be here within a week. I got a pretty good deal on it on Ebay. $589+free shipping. That includes the tank, stand, glass sump, return pump, skimmer and all the plumbing. The skimmer seems to be a really good one as reviewed here. I haven't seen any reviews of the tank itself though. I plan on giving a full review when I get everything, but I'm new to the hobby so I don't know how good a review I can give! ;)

The skimmer is good, but as you said there are no reviews on the tank and they sell the compete plug and play kit which is nice. Review on the tank will be easy lol....does it leak and build quality of the tank and accessories. Looking forward to see it set up.

I have seen that they use black silicone in the tanks. I guess that's a step up from cheaper tanks?

I think it's more of a design than functionality. I don't see how black silicone is better than clear.

I don't have first hand experience with the lumentek a yet, but all the reviews I have seen about their fixtures have been positive. I am expecting the 240 pro soon.
