That should tell you something. I would rather take the word of forum members than that of people that are making money off of you. Is the LFS that is telling you that you have enough light for a carpet anemone the same LFS that initially loaded your tank up with a ton of fish and then sold you a cleaner wrasse to solve the ich problem that the overload caused? If it is and you're still taking their advise, you seem to be a glutton for punishment.

It's not just lighting. I'm going to say this one more time and then I'm done. (1) 3 watts per gallon of T5 lighting over an 18" tank is not enough to support a carpet anemone; (2) Your tank is too new to support an anemone.

    Good luck.

    I know, I know...
I didn't say I agreed with the LFS, which by the way is in no way affiliated with the one that caused a mountain of problems at my start up, or marinedepot people...
    it's just further insight.

I don't think the lighting is enough either...
I just need to find something similar to the one that I have that can fit into the canopy since my wife says it MUST stay up...

Currently, I'm having problems doing so...
amcarrig always has a way of grounding me... I love it! ;-)

With what corals you currently have. I would not add to much of anything to raise your Calc, alk, or mag. Water changes will keep those numbers correct.

If you start keeping SPS or LPS then those items will require dosing to keep them up to ideal levels.
