The only fish I am concerned about is my Purple Tang. He is one mean SOB. He keeps the Yellow and Blue Tangs out of his territory (the majority of the tank) and if either encroaches the fight is on. The only fish he does not run out of his territory is the Majestic. My Majestic is the largest fish in my tank and oddly the most peaceful.

If you can get a betta bigger then your tang, you should be fine. Also rearragne your rockwork giving the beta a fair chance.

Hello all. I started this thread nearly a year ago. My search ended yesterday. I went to a LFS about an hour from my home and the first fish I saw was my Comet. He is about 3 inches long total nose to tail. I watched him eat a live shrimp while at the LFS. I brought him home and acclimated him. He swam around a bit and then found a cave and stayed there the rest of the day. I still have the Chromis' in my tank. I ended up getting rid of the Purple Tang because I was tired of the bullying he was doing. He is small enough that I dont think I will have any issues with any of my fish being eaten. Does anybody have any pointers on getting him to eat? I do not want to feed him live shrimp. I think I will try Mysis and table shrimp. Any other ideas are appreciated. Thanks!

Dude, do you have a cleaner shrimp?

I got rid of my Marine Betta when I learned he would definitely eat my CS!

He also hung out in the rocks too much for me, I like more active fish mostly.

Enjoy him, I'm sure things will be fine. They do look good.

Yes I have a cleaner shrimp but he is probably just as big as the Comet. He seems to hang out a lot in the rocks but I am hoping that with time he will begin to come out a bit more where he can be seen. Great looking fish.

"Where is a pic of this fish?"

Impossible at this time. All he does is hide. I can barely see him as it is. He spent most of the day yesterday laying on the bottom of the tank in the sand. Ive read this is normal behavior for over fed or stressed Comets during acclimation? Hope this is true. I am considering adding some Melafix to the tank. He has a small wound on one fin and one on his chin. I think the wound on his chin is from being in a tank far to small.

maybe i should get one in my 1 gallon pico. haha
