    Bruce, in response to your question of whether they will harm inhabitants if you go from white to blue, I never had a problem. I use to just turn off my T5's and have the moons already on. My corals would go in within minutes. I had briefly research on a dimmer but haven't really found anything on how to better the transition.

    I still owe you some pics of the pendant Bruce! I too, will have to hang the moonlights or glue them somewhere.

    Well i just got the fixture! wow its bright! I had 1 actinic and one 11,000k bulb on and its almost as bright over the tank as my whole other fixture! ugh i wish i could just sit it on top! but i need to wait for some hanging help from my dad...hes thinks hes so cool...going to texas with my sis and coming back weds! ARG pics are coming now lol!

    Ya, very sleek, there isnt any fan, so i hope t-5s dont get hot XD or else im gona have 2 buy a fan :)...and luckly there is about 2 inches on each side where there is no light, just black metal so i might be able to mount the moon lights there :)

    Ok well...if anyone is looking for a new lighting fixture for their reef let me know, Im looking to sell my old one! lasted me 3 great begining years of reef keeping :)

    Yes, the T-5s get hot. Not as hot as a 100 watt incandescent bulb in a table lamp, but still too hot to touch comfortably. If the lights will be close to the water (less than 4 inches) I think you should have a fan in that hood. Mine came with one.

    The only thing is, where the air vents are located im not sure if a fan would help. The reflectors make the bulbs sort of isolated. I will probably keep the lights 4+in above the water though.
