Hey, been running a 125g tank for about 18 months,, some costly mistakes made,, decided it was time to reach out and get some good advice.
I am currently trying to add a home made refugium. not sure as to how big it should be,, I wanted to put it under my tank with my skimmer between my wet dry and fuge. pump to the display tank at the far end of my fuge,,
primitive looking, but, under the display tank,, in the process of dumping my power compacts for 2 250 MH bulbs.. retro to my home made Canopy,,, any suggestions,, let me know, thanks

Salutations! Glad to see you found way here!

Fuge no substitute for a really good skimmer.

    Can't keep PC's also?

You are off to great start.

    Keep us posted.

    Welcome to 3reef!
The Tangster rule of thumb on a fuge is 1/10 the size of the display tank and 1/10 the flow. Example: 125g tank 12.5g fuge with 12.5 gph going across it.
I have a 265g display and have a 30g fuge and run about 30 gph across it.
