UGH! So I decided I wanted to do a medium sized water change today and the next thing you know, I have my sump, all my equipment, (smaller fluval filter for my UV, Phos, etc...) My sump/bio balls/filter media was DISGUSTINGLY filthy.. I had cleaned the main filter media about a week ago, and the lower baffle filter media about 3 weeks ago.. There was a layer of - what I am guessing is fish cr@p at the bottom of my bio ball area of the sump about 1/4 of an inch thick.. YUCK! I ended up pulling the entire thing out and cleaning it, along with my skimmer..

Man I go through some painstaking tasks for these lil guys.. love my tank!!!

But now - I sit infront of my tank drinking a nice aged scotch.. YUM!!! How is everyone else tonight.

    You are 100% right!

<-- I am glad I did it - the scum in the sump would have caught up with me eventually.. Nigh nitrates or something... I figure the less rotting scum in the tank the better.
