Too bad that just like the iPhone/iPod Touch, you can't have multiple apps running at the same time. What a waste of a potentially good product.

 

This thread should be renamed "the next generation of horrible drivers"

Sorry, guess there's just not a lot of Apple lovers on here. I think their products are good, for the most part. But they put so much hype behind a new product that it kind of makes me sick just hearing about anything Apple.

 

I don't see why anyone would need something like this. Just seems a huge expense for something that can be done just as easily on current tech.

It seems as they are trying to compete with the Kindle. Unfortunately, it won't perform that function as well. The type of screen would cause eye fatigue just as fast as a computer.

 

i think this thing is awesome! i mean yeah, no cd drive or multi tasking, but otherwise its like a sexy iphone, psp, macbook, kindle combo.

 

It's not meant to be a laptop at all. It's a multimedia device, and internet / email terminal. You can watch movies, listen to music, read e-books, play games, surf the web, read e-mail, etc. But it's not meant to be a laptop replacement at all. For 29.99 per month you get unlimited 3g internet too. $629 for the 3G / wifi tablet in 90 days. I'm buying it the day it comes out. I have a MacBook Pro already and this will be the perfect device to carry in my car when I don't carry my laptop.

Although, I think they could have picked a better name than iPad. Sounds like a network enabled feminine hygiene product.

 

They have to come out with something new every year and were out of ideas so this is what they came up with.
