Hello 3reef. I'm new to the the forum and to the hobby. I have a 75 gal. tank and am planning to incorporate a sump. I have been doing some reading on the matter and think I've picked a design to use. I will be using a 20gal long with the skimmer installed externally. I would like some input on the partition placement I'm planning to do before I actually install them.

Same design im using on my 65 gallon. At first I had my drain split to my refuge and skimmer section but after some tweaking trying to tune it in and get it quiet I ended up just running a small pump from my skimmer section to the refuge with a valve for flow control ad just run one drain to the skimmer section.
