Jon, where can I purchase ecobak pellets in a small amount?

Salty supply has 500ml container available for $40. Neptune Aquatics has it for $35. But I only want the 250ml container. I was about to get the 250ml for $20 from NeoMarine, but then shipping is another $15...not many places seem to carry this product.

    ^ I completely missed that. ^

Jon, I set up an SMR1 reactor on Aug. 21st. I have 750 ml of Ecobak running in it powered by an Eheim 2000. When I set it up i had 20 nitrates and i just tested showing 30. I'm not sure what I am doing wrong but my nitrates are definitely not going down. Should I be seeing some results at this point? I know it is tough for you to know what's wrong from a distance but can you give me some suggestions? My tank specs are in my signature. What other info do you need from me?

In my experience they went up before they went down.

It its what it is and how it should be.

About a couple weeks. cycling bio pellets are like cycling a new tank.

Is that about right Jon W?

hey jon Ive had a bad run of luck lately..lost some power here and there for few day at a time,2 fish died, then my return pump kicked the bucket while on vacation..point being now I'm starting to see some clear slime stuff on the rocks and power heads..did my bacteria die off and settle other places..I changed the water in the reactor with the pellets every time it was off line(due to reasons listed above,I was worried about lack of O2)..will the reactor have to re-seed??..the reactor was up and running 1 yr 2 mths..did I do the right/wrong thing????just want info for others who may encounter the same prob..
