The only LFS in my town Closes her doors

    Hello everyone:

    Well the only pet shop in town is going out of bussines.
    She has been in for 15 years and the people she leases from are raising the rent for everyone in her strip mall where hes shop is to over 5000 a month from 2500.
    I feel really bad for her. She will be missed even if she has minimal amounts of salt gear. I hate to see someones hard work and sweat all for not because some rich B___H in another state needs a little more loose change. The owners of the strip mall live in California. I asked Lisa ( thats the shop keepers name) if there was anything I could buy that would help her make her bills. She just smiled.

    I did ask her about buying some of her tanks. She is going to sell me her 125 acrylic with all skimmers, lights sand and liverock for 600 bucks. I almost feel like I shouldnt buy it but if I dont someone else will. She will have about 30 tanks for sale sometime early next year. I hope she finds some way to stay afloat. I hate to lose the only shop for 80 miles. :huh:

    wow that sux...well im sry say but the internet will consume all sooner or later...i say live the LFS life to the fullest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I feel....well.....im not sure how to say it but wow....what do you think online stores do...zap critters to the post ofice? They are stores too...ones that have just expanded to the net. i think soon they will all be on the net but never only.
