being the anemone fan that i am i allowed myself to purchase a condy anemone after having read that after the quadris they are one of the most resistant.

having payed what i believed to be one large condy for about 30 euros (more or less 30 bucks....pissed me off when i read the go for about 10 but whatever) to my great surprise when i got home it turned out that the one "large" condy was actually 2 medium sized ones close to eachother. (thank God i told the shop keeper not to detach her to avoid foot trauma or he would have realized that attached to the LR i purchased were 2 anemones and not one. so thats my little "victory" purchase concerning the nems.

so yesterday i put them in my DT in a place i was sure they would enjoy (medium water flow, near the top so they can suck in as much light emiting from my 2 1200mm white t5s, 2 1200mm blue t5s and 1 blue and 1 white 800mm t5) in a semi shaded area where they would have a place to hide should they not fully appreciate my light....anyway getting off topic.

so yesterday i put em in did some more research on them and read that apparently it is very rare for THEM to HOST clowns but here i am typing in front of my tank with my 2 trues ravishing in one of the two <3.

how fast do they grow and are they really relentless eaters as some have portraied them?

    tank specs.

    light:see above
filter: tunze reefpack 505, about 50 kilos LR
    water volume: 450 l
    stocking:
    2 true percula
    2 yellow tail blue D
    1 GSP
    1 diamond gobby
    1 mandarin
    1 6 liner
    1 yellow tang
    1 coral beauty
    3 green chromis
    2 skunk shrimp
1 pink yellow dotty back (shipment screwed up once and i got it for free about a month ago, was not going to add anything more as i think the stocking limit has been reached but turns out it found a small cave to call home and seems now happy)

several snails and hermits to clean up

pics will be up soon to give proof of my words

    Beautiful clowns.

The tank is looking very nice. I like the way the scape angles up, you have a ton of room for corals.

What color is the column of the new anemone?

Congrats on the new addition, the new commensal relationship of the clowns and anemone and getting such a great deal.

    Yes foot. :)

Logic goes right out the window and clown fish/host predictions. Many have difficulty getting their anemone to host the clowns and then yours reside in a Condy.

Are those wild caught clowns, they sure have beautiful markings.

not sure they were one of the first fish i got and were in my old 180 l setup i really like them as well the female is the braver one of the 2 always out exploring and what not.

they use to be hosted by my torch coral so i went off and got them a quadri took them a good 6 months before they started swiming in it and since then they stuck to it.

it bewilders me as well to see them in the condy a day after i put them in, the condys are not much bigger than the quadri either...go figure...

the crazy dunes were made by the diamond goby btw love that fish
