I am stationed on Okinawa and there are plenty of reef out there to dive (I dont harvest for my tank) and also quite a few LFS. I have a 55 gal tank that has been up and running since september and here are my polys.

the green I got for free at a large LPS because they had broken off a main rock and kinda grew into a ball so I cut the bottom polys off and glew both groups to an old piece of dead coral.

the orange and over grown colony I picked up three days ago for 500 yen (less than 5$). They were mostly closed up and looked bad but I figured I'd go for it. After bringing them home I gave them a 3 min fresh water dip, then realized how much garbage was stuck amongst the colony so I rinsed with tank water (after acclimation) then used a power head to clean the rest. they seem quite happy now that I have treated them well and 99% come out to say hi... there are a couple I might need to remove though and I think i'll frag the rock and put in a few different locations in the tank (sorta to see where they like it the most) and also give a few frags to some people on the base.

I have an odd hitchhiker on the orangies you can barely see in this picture, to the right. it looks like two longer blue polys that extend upwards but never open up.. they aren't polys though because when I touch them they retract and have not opened to the world... odd.

Hope that when it comes time to PCS you have someone in CONUS that you can do a big overnight shipment to.

Might be worth making early trip back to set up new system then have someone ship to you when you return.

Would break my heart to have to leave these beauties behind when time to go...

Not going to be easy or cheap to replace here.

    Good Luck.
