That would be awesome but with my set up a major pain I the a$$ to remove that pipe. I almost caught him today.
I lost my job on Monday. Insurance ends end of month so even spending $10 on tubing wide and long enough will be challenging. It might have to live in there for a week or two

Man I'm sorry to hear that I hope things work out quickly for you. You're absolutely correct, it jumped in and wanted to be there and can live there for a bit.

Sorry to hear ball game. He'll be fine in there for a bit, just check for him regularly as he may succumb to the suction and end up in the mechanical filtration portion of the sump. Hope things turn around for you.

I have a screen over mine, In my old tank I had several fish end up in the overflows. I made a lid for them. Most times I would just turn of everything and then unscrew the standpipe and gently drain them down to the bottom. then I would reach in with a small net and grab said fish. I know I did this for my 6 line 5 or 6 times over 4 years as I had some large slots. fish is still alive and in a new tank.

also had a powder brown tang get sucked into a CPR overflow. knew it was dead and had to use a butterknife to get him upright. fish survived for several more years. I have also had a clownfish traverse the entire CPR overflow.

Now that I don't have a canopy that keeps the top enclosed, a screen top is the next item on my to-do list. I'm probably going to try and get it done this weekend.

I have fished out my smaller clown from my eshopps overflow so many friggen times.
