    has anyone used it before?
    I've read up on it and the guy at my LFS said he uses it all the time
    I haven't used it yet but im tempted to go out and buy some for that and possibly a few shots =]
    any advise before i make a mistake?

    IMO, there are a lot of safer ways to maintain lower Nitrates and feed corals. JMHO.

    But yes, I have used vodka. I used to have a 3000 gallon LR curing trough. When we brought in rock, we brought in 4000~5000 pounds. In our strip mall there was a grocery store. Once I got the shipment of uncured rock in the water, the first thing I did was walk to the grocery store and buy a bunch of vodka.

    I had a massive 4 beckett MRC skimmer on that system that I had made many modifications to. (It's name was the Poopmaster 5000). It would go freakin' nuts. I ran the drain line straight down the sewer, otherwise I would have had a flood. But I knew how to cure rock quickly.
