It has been a long wait, and the premier did not disappoint...oh man that was so good.

My favorite scene was when Maggie killed the first riot gear zombie... she looks at Glen all wide eyed and excited and says 'did you see that'!! Hahah, simply awesome.

This season is going to be very different from the 2nd season. No more little house on the prairie.

 

I love this show!!!! But I got a question! How did chopping off Virgil's leg save him from turning? I know everyones already infected. Shane turned after dying. While others turned after only being bit. But Daryl got impaled with an arrow, shot in the head and just beat to hell but he didn't turn! So what? The only way you turn is to die or get bit by the infected? Wouldn't that make um things like kissing and you know what kind of dangerous?

 

I don't think Charles Ingals kept walkers in his barn!! Lol

I think that when someone gets bit, they essentially get an infection and then eventually die from that infection, at which point they become reanimated. This is like what happened to the bearded guy in the first season that they left on the side of the road.

Whether the zombies mouth is just dirtier or the virus in the zombies' saliva is more active than the dormant variety I don't know. But essentially, if you get bit, the area gets severely infected and you die, so chopping off the bitten limb prevents the infection from taking hold.

 

SPOILER ALERT PEOPLE

Amc cut out on me and I missed the last 6 min......

 

I think its because when its a bite it may be an active infection or maybe a lethal dose of the virus. Everybody is infected but It's more of a passive, carrier type thing. So if Rick didn't chop off Hershel's foot he would have died from the bite and turned. He cut off the foot to isolate the active infection in the bite from spreading. Kissing and stuff wouldn't matter since they are all carriers already...unless it was directly with a zombie, which would result in your face being eaten. lol


*edit* On a side note, anyone excited for American Horror Story Se02 tonight? =].

 

We also gotta remember we don't know if this will save him or not! Only the season will be able to tell what happens... at this point it's a theory they're going on.
