I'm glad they brought the zombies back as the main threat. I'm also glad that some of the events I thought they skipped from the comics are still potentially going to happen. Overall. good stuff.

 

I thought it was a good beginning. The first episode seemed like it was 10 minutes long. I can already tell the writers are adding some weird stuff to mix it up. Daryl hugging Beth did not seem right to me, something not quite right. Everyone is make a lot of fuss about the pig and the kid. Could just be a simple explanation.

 

I thought the focus on the water from the shower head was some pretty serious foreshadowing. Maybe someone contaminating the water supply.

 

I did indeed notice that as well. But remember Rick and the phone call, that took me down the rabbit hole for weeks, I was convinced that scene had other meaning, something more diabolical. Nope, I just read too much into it. I have to wonder if the writers throw out these little things to lead the audience a stray. Like what was up with all the ends in the aquariums at the Gov. they never took that anywhere.

I have a feeling we are working up to a Sophia moment.

 

I hope so. That was really unexpected.
You should give the comics a whirl. I hadn't read any comics since I was a kid, borrowed the first few from a friend and was hooked. It's fun to compare the two.
