Cleaned the heck out of the protein skimmer and working some much better.
Put my GFO reactor back into the mix but I have changed out the sponge pads and made them thicker.
Turned up the ATO pump so it does a better job keeping the kalk saturated in the reactor.

Where are all our South West Florida reefers?

I have 2 fungai plate corals I need to re-home(had these on craiglist 20 bucks a piece(steel) and no offers
    pectinia coral decent size
multiple pieces of ORA Green Tip Orange Birdsnest.
A small frag ORA Mint Pavona
    frag of setosa
really need to frag my armour of gods paly also.. clowns will be pissed as that is their home

it really does look great! I love the purple clove polyps, I know people complain about them growing everywhere but I just love the look of them.

Thanks Vinny. I sold my 135 setup about 2 months ago after a devastating screw up about 6 months ago killed 90% of tank and it had been sitting empty. Anyways with all the effort I have put into this tank.. yes you can say I am a bit invigorated. I am in no rush meaning I will be saving for a year plus but I have all ready started planting the seed in wife head that someday I will be getting a complete setup the way I want it. Wife said I want my hot tub first!! I call that a good sign when she does not say no.. :)

Thanks OFK. Ya the clove polyps are pretty but have spread in the last year. They literally pop up out of no where. I think if you add them to a well established tank where most of your corals have incrusted it would help limit places for them to pop up. Wife loves them and they do add cool movement when powerhead blows on them.

    Yup that is my Pectinia.

Adjusted light intensity. Blues are peaking at 75% during mid day cycle and 55% white. Will see how they respond. Hoping to see increase in coloration and growth. Overall I do continue to see some amazing growth. Corals seem to be happy and coloration decent but I think it could be so much better.

The innovating GFO reactor is just not cutting it. The foam pads they give you are thin and become clogged and the GFO seems to clump up and rise to top after week or so even though I have flow turned up in reactor. Even after I added a thicker foam pad it does the same thing. It even happened when I used less gfo just not as fast. Need to look into an external unit or just go a different route all together.

    WC yesterday 5gl
    SG 1.025
    Temp average 78.4 high 78.6
    PH AVG 8.05 High 8.27
dkh 11.2 (I really need to watch this with the kalk. Used to have so many issue with it being low now I am on high end and noticed my first burnt tip booo)
Cal 420 ( a bit higher would be nice)
    MAG 1400
NO3 0 utilizing API so take that for what you will.

Why would I not be able to keep chaeto growing? Seems to wither away..

I am losing it. I need to stop reading so many threads.

So running through my brain lately is the fact my coloration could be so much better.
One half of my brain is trying to be patient as I slowly increase my lights to 100% white and blue during height of day cycle
My other half of the brain(I think sometimes this is 75%(almost a yogiism for you baseball fans) is saying you really need to look into hybrid led/t5 combo.
Also reading that Eshopps nano sump thread got me thinking about that again.

    Are we ever satisfied?
