    Gorgeous corals.

Weird you still have RB. I have had them twice in two different tank, 1st dose in each tank wiped them out. I do go strong on the dose and do not do a water change for many hours afterwards though.

Remind me what your doing dosing wise now, still kalk? Any recent pH values?

    Thanks Corailline.

Having never used it before I did .075 ml approximately. Definitely noticeable different in qty RB.
How much did you use per 10gl?

Still doing kalk but living with a lower PH. Generally 7.8 - 8.10 range. My ALK stays high with the kalk so if I add more kalk to obtain higher PH then ALK jumps to much.
For some reason I have not had good luck with the chaeto which would help with the PH night swing and probably allow a higher PH to be obtained during the day.

Don't have money right now but seriously considering overflow and sump/ref.

Ya know I can not remember the exact dose, in a 30 gallon tank, I crushed roughly half the pill thoroughly and mixed it in display water, I was working with mg not ml. Added it to the tank, RB were dead within 30 minutes, waited and did a small water change in about 3-4 hours, and changed out my carbon. You can tell when the medication becomes effective because you see exaggerated polyp extension.

My pH is hanging around 8.2 24/7 which was my goal. Alk utilization has really increased though since I have achieved and maintained a stable pH. Dosing every day 1 cap of part B only (Ca is always around 500 with the kalk) to maintain an alk of 8.0. Going to start using dosing pump for the buffer next and continue the kalk in the ATO.

    Wow very nice levels

I do have to consider dosing for my CAL and MAG as those are on the lower end. I did do a small dose to bring up MG about 15ppm yesterday. Would like to see that around 1400 and CAL I would not mind bringing up a bit also.

What KALK brand are you using?

That is so weird, I rarely have to dose Mag if anything it almost always runs high, but I do not have the stony corals and coralline you do. I keep my mag higher 1450-1500 because I see less algae issues.

Right now Twofishy's A/B, Kent Kalk, Kent Marine Tech Mag, I/O salt. When I set up the dosing pump it will be BRS three part mixture.

Well I owed my LFS a frag from a Red Planet he gave me a deal on so I brought it to him last night.
Figured I needed salt, and some chaeto and just waste some time.
Dammit you would think I would have learned by now.. don't go if you do not want to spend money!

Could not pass it up.. you should have seen the big pieces holy crap.. and I said that in the store a few times and which point my daughter says to my wife.. looks like it is fathers day now!!

Oh I forgot to add that battle corals is giving me fits.. that cart is just begging me to click buy!!! help me Lord!!
Also after a few weeks of watching my corals under 65% white I have decided to reduce back to 55% at peak day. I believe after looking at some pics that my colors were deeper when before increasing the whites.
I had also asked my LFS what he runs his on and as you would expect there are variations depending on which corals and tanks but he did say most run max 18 to 30%.

Have we done a pole on what people run their LED whites at?? humm going to look

No poll, but if you want to start one I am good with that.

I add and delete to my baskets as BRS, Marine Depot, Liveaquaria all the time. Battlecorals is a hard one to refuse.

Red Planet is always a score!

I am seriously staying away from vendor sites, I have no strength.

Chris is that a Blasto????It's gorgeous.

Yes and you would not believe the size of the heads on some of the other frags he had.. easily half dollar. I was trying to find other images of it but not having any luck. Either someone on here has this or I have seen it for sale somewhere previously. It is even more impressive in person..it is electric.
