Yes I like the IT2040 and the controller feature is nice as you can configure sunrise through sunset cycle (30 minute increments).

depending on you tank size reef radiance has many light options

 

Awesome to hear! I was just looking to get some feedback from a fellow reefer on the quality of the light. I like all the features and I am really considering one for my 20 gallon nano, I think it would be perfect. If I can have my tank look half as good as your wife's tank I will be happy.

 

Couple updates.

Wife tank has been running hot (up to 82)F so found this fan on a video and decided to give it a try. It is a usb fan and so far so good. It is smaller than I thought and I was quite surprised that it is keeping the tank at 78.6 F





Also wife picked up a small frag of Hawkins Blue Echinata

Those are sweet adds. I think your "better half" has better taste in coral, lol. what a great time and experience. I'm preparing for next year.

for the last week I was wondering why my wife tank was kind of cloudy(milky) and had not had carbon in for a bit so put a carbon pad in no change and then she mentioned she had cleaned her skimmer foam pad so though it might have been that for some strange reason. Well we recently decided to go to bi-weekly water changes because her params have been so stable I figured I was just wasting salt and her big three were always stable. Well I did a water change yesterday thinking maybe it would clear up the tank but no go and when I ran test today low and behold Mag had dropped to 1245 from 1350 range. So I am attributing the cloudiness to the low Mag (fingers crossed) dosing 25mg per day for the next few days until I get it back up to normal range and hope that clears things up.

This is really the first signs that her corals have been using anything up.

Well it has been a while so figured I would do some updates. Tank is doing well over all. Ran into some issues with testing kits being off. Glad I decided to have my LFS double check things. This pushed me to finally get my neptune lite setup and buy some updated test kits.
