Like Saturday at The Masters, it's moving day!

We're going to move our Royal Gramma and Midas Blenny from the BC29 to the 90 today. Pictures and an update later.

Tried to entice 'em out with some food but they weren't buying it. Hopefully we can eventually trick 'em and won't have to tear down the entire cube.

Well, we ended up having to tear the rocks out of the BC. Ugh. Caught the Royal Gramma without too much trouble. He's the first official resident of the 90! He found himself a nice little cave under some rocks.

Mr. Jack (Midas) Blenny was another story though. We saw him bolt under this big piece of rock, so we grabbed it and set it in a bucket (yes, there was water in it :) ). And we're looking... we're looking... and he's nowhere to be seen. We picked up the rock to see if somehow he got in the bucket - like he was holding on or something, LOL. Turns out he was hiding IN the rock. There he was staring out of a hole in the rock at us looking all irritated. We tried to gently coax him out, but he wasn't having any of it. So, we decided he was trying to tell us he just wants to stay in the BC. He's still hiding. I hope the little dude's OK!

Will get pictures as soon as the RG decides to show his face. And, we need to figure out what to put in the 90 to replace the Midas on the stock list....

    Thank you, sir. Here's proof:

We also got him some friends...

They're juveniles - about 2 1/2" long. Hoping they pair up. So far so good, they're already sleeping together! They're eating and mostly hanging out in front during lights on.

Bummer of a story: when we were at the LFS, the owner was catching these for us. She caught a larger one first - used good technique and was not a lengthy chase - and it had a heart attack! Really felt bad for the little guy, but I'm glad it didn't happen when we got him home. To reiterate, this was NOT due to any poor handling technique by LFS lady. The two we ended up with are closer to the same size, which is probably for the best.

We also got a couple juvenile skunk cleaner shrimp. They're hanging out together as well. Pics of them shortly. :) Next on the schedule is a wrasse (species TBD). That'll likely be someone's Christmas present. :xmas:
