Stand is almost complete! I just have to put some trim that I'm painting on there tomorrow.

I thought I might have seen a hint of pink when I was testing nitrite earlier, but it could've just been wishful... :) Almost time to relax and enjoy this sucker for a few minutes.

Thanks Ash! We're pretty fortunate to be able to do this for sure. Hopefully we can live up to the system we've built and make this tank one to remember!

Great job on the stand! When you have a chance, little close up pics please?

How do you like the Bean operation?

Thanks Shin, once I get all the trim on it I'll take some close ups. Planning on making a detailed post on the stand, the RO/DI and water making set-up and the general system plumbing and flow over the next week or so once everything is complete and i have some time.

The bean is awesome! Once I got it tuned it is dead silent as advertised. I was able to put a gate valve in-line with the full-siphon pipe which made tuning it a pretty simple matter. If the return pump power is interrupted it takes awhile for it to re-balance itself after the power is turned back on, but it restarts like it's supposed to. Really glad I went with the Bean!!!!!!

I like the tile-work on the stand, it is unique and looks great!

Looking forward to seeing the rockwork when the tank clears up a bit.

I look forward to it! I was (still am) curious about the operation because you got the 6' horizontal plumbing.

That is so good to know, and Im really glad that the Bean's working out for you!! I know it could be intimidating for some people because of the multiple drain pipes and whatnot, but its rather simple.

How much do you think the turnover rate is after all the headloss manifold pressure loss?

I came up with about 605 gph for turnover rate on the Iwaki MD-40RT. It's probably a little less given that there's some flex pipes with some gentle bends, a tee, etc... (With 0 head pressure it calculates to 793 gph). Max flow is rated at 822 GPH according to BRS website.
