I have it on a 55 with a voltage adjuster and got it dialed to a point where there is plenty of movement, but my corals are not getting beaten up.

I'm guessing I'll have to tune it down quite a bit, but I like the functions that I will be able to control with it. The 750's I have in there now blow the hammers and toadstool quite hard and I'm basically stuck with the flow of them as they are. Atleast with the wp40 i have options to tone it down and up.

    Thanks

Well with the WP 40, you will not be able to adjust the flow unless you get a voltage regulator to turn the voltage down. With this being said, the flow pattern is extremely wide with this pump. I know there have been people saying that the flow pattern is rather narrow but I completely disagree. It is pretty narrow at the pump but fans out pretty good, away from the pump. I don't feel the need at all to turn it down.

People are saying its narrow compared to a vortech. Which is true.

There are actually 3 ways to adjust the voltage on the WP40.
1 is with an inline DC Voltage reducer
2 with an AD110-A10 PWM board hooked into the stock controller.
3 do away with the stock controller alltogether and use a RA,Apex,Adruino

Yes but it rapidly expands. I don't find it an issue unless you have a softy or LPS within 6 inches of the nozzle.

OK anyway, sorry guys. It has been a few days since I posted here. I've been extremely busy with work and school. The pump is still going very strong and is virtually silent. If I put my ear up to the external magnet, I can hear it and sometimes can hear it if it is very quite in the room and I'm really close to the tank. I run on a mixture of w1 and "else". If I walk by and decide I want to change it, I do. I feel that is probably ok since the ocean isn't 100% the same all the time. I have seen a lot of change in my corals as well since running the pump. LPS are opening up wider and acros and such are getting better color. Now, there is one downside. THAT FREAKIN LIGHT SENSOR. It really is a POS but I can deal with that. The ocean never calms down that much. I am running my Koralias on timers though (the ones pointed behind the rock) to give my fish a place of refuge at night, away from the flow.

I just looked on their website and they have them for $75 now.
With shipping to the US it's $99.80

Now I just have to convince my wife that we don't need either food, tv or cell phones and I will get it.
