Do you think this urchin is eating the Montipora coral?

    I have honestly never seen an urchin eating coral but I have seen them eating coralline. I don't believe this urchin is eating your coral. Eating coralline is just as bad IMO though. Just sayin. I want that purple stuff in my tank.

    Ok I thought this would be an interesting poll. :)

    Lights off pic by the time he left but it does show that the urchin just ate a patch off the rock and left the coral alone.

    The urchin was touching the montipora though and freaking me out a bit. :wreck:

    But he was cool and I love my halloween tuxedo urchin. He keeps my tank nice and clean with his algae grazing and leaves my coral be. Well, now that I have them all glued down. ;D

    You're not so wrong oldfish..... mine ripped right through a coral. I don't believe that was it's intentions, but it killed them all the same.
