Mikejrice, I do plan on dosing to compensate for the over skimming on my aquarium. I haven't address the lighting issue because the next stage in this project is to build a wooden frame around the aquarium to match the bedroom set. Once that is built and the enlcosed canopy is built also I will concentrate on lighting which will be Metal Halide.

Jakeh24, my first Automatic Freshwater Top Off System on an earlier aquarium was a Do-It-Yourself that performed just fine. But I wanted that extra security and reliability that Tunze has designed into this porduct.

sounds like its going to be an amazing reef. I like your plan of over skimming and feeding your corals yourself. gives more control over how much they get and shows you when your dosing well and when its not enough. any plans for keeping the temp down. with the gear you have running I sense a chill coming on...

Mikejrice, thank you. I'm actually going to be placing an order for a chiller in a month or two. I have always been happy with Pacific Coast Imports Chiller and I'm going to purchase a 1/4 or 1/2 horsepower model to setup on my aquarium. I wouldn't want it working too hard now.

Well everyone knows that I like to be as detailed oriented as possible and why not keep that tradition going into my photograph hobby as well. So I purchased a Canon Rebel T1i Digital SLR Camera boasting 15.1 Megapixels with DIGIC 4 Processor and Full 1080p High Definition Recording. So needless to say I'm a little happy right now!

I agree an overworked chiller is a chiler thats going to break when your not at home and let your corals melt away. what are your plans for flow? MP10 possibly. That was the single best purchase I made for my tank. The flow options are huge and the random flow it can create is amazing. My tank looks different every time I look at it.
