Is the powerhead on the end of the tank pointing the long way? Can you aim the flow towards the surface at all?

The hose sucking air on my skimmer was bothering me too. I put the silencer on a really long hose. Than put that inside a milk jug in the closet. There's no more sucking air noise now.

 

So is there anything I could keep with the maroon until i get the maroon out of the tank?

relly i would just add a fish and keep the marron. you told me he was still small. but i relly love it so that might just be me not wanting to see it go though

 

the maroon doesnt limit you much, hes so small he wont pick on any new additions. i would add a small goby or something.

 

so would a purple firefish be ok? and as for the maroon you're probably right; he's only 1-2", and he would even be buddies with my neon velvet damsel when i had it lol

 

so the tank is just coming along right now and AGAIN I don't know what to add. I said a purple firefish but what else? I'd like something in the goby category. Just so many nice fish out there. There are 2 fish I want to add but I may be pushing it. The first one is a neon goby. Now on the poll you guys voted blue for the majority, but I'm thinking to give the tank more variety I would go with yellow. Now here's the problem: besides that, I'd like to get another goby which is a yasha goby. I'm pretty sure that both of those fish usually stay near the bottom, so I'm assuming I'd have to pick one...? Unless it's possible to keep all fish in there (maroon would be gone by that time). Don't really want to cram too many fish in a 10 gallon. Thoughts?

 

only 1 goby, unless it's a big a tank. I have a Engineer Goby and a yellow in the same tank.

 

ya thats about all u can have and when the clown gets bigger it will probaly have to be removed
