    Call your LFS before going. I would buy my fish online. A achilles in a 55g tank temporary is better then a 10g tank imo.

    The question is, do you have a choice? Your parents don't really trust you, if your dad said no, your mom will say no also. Do you have friends that can take you to the LFS?

    well my friends at my new HS live far away from where I do, and my elementary school friends i havent seen them in like forever lol. I'm gonna try to go to the LFS today anyway. If I dont really find what i wanna get I'll just get a fish anyway as long as it can live well in a 10 Gallon

    dont buy a fish on impulse, just call the lfs and ask what fish they have.

    but i've literally been there so many times they never really get "different" shipments; usually the same kinds of fish every Tuesday
