yea, I thought you had mollies, if you did you can convert them to saltwater, they're good algae eaters. You sell the maroon yet?

He will get over that in time, and if you start to show him that your willing to save some $ by diy it will help too. I really suggest (when the time comes and you know it will) you use a rubbermade tub for your fuge/sump. I mean a diy hob at 25$, a 10$ fuge, and you can use a maxi jet as a return totaling some ware around 50-60$. I'm not telling you to push for it (I would not even mention it) but be ready with a good plan when he starts to give you a litle more respect with the tank. I can't really blame him after I soaked the hard wood floor in my room a while back, tanks can cause some damage to the pocket book in many ways, but after you make it work for while he should stop stressing so much. I also don't think you really need the fuge right off.

yeah i dont but it would help a lot since nanos are hard to maintain. also i can make a sump but it would be with a 2.5 gallon... is that even possible? XD and also i've saved up on money myself but he wont let me use it either so im kind of stuck there. but for now im just gonna go slow

I would try to take the attitude that he is helping you by making you go slow and save up your money, honestly I would also start to save my own money some where on my own. Latter in life you will find you have all sorts of different savings groups and it's good to start budgeting now (not when your 25 like me lol) A 2.5g sump might do something for ya as far as getting things out of the DT and helping with evaporation. I mean it would not be as nice as a 10, but if you set it up right you may be able to upgrade it to a 10 really easy when the time comes.
