Well here's my 29 gallon tank. I had a serious algae problem so I did a really big water change and now I'm just waiting for my RO/DI unit to arrive. Anyway my maroon clownfish is just hanging around while my other fish are in another tank (have an ocellaris in the other tank), and my LR and some zoas are in the bucket on the top so the light can hit them. Hopefully my RO/DI unit arrives soon; then I'll post pics of my tank after some changes.

I would have gotten a pair but at my LFS the male and female were both really expensive and one of the maroons were VERY- and I mean VERY- big in size

He went with specatpure. Are you going to top off your tank with 3/4 of ro/di water? To get rid of nitrates, do a DSB, it's where your sand is 4"+ deep

yeah I did go with spectrapure; seems to be the best one, and everyone recommends it ;D. And also you mind telling me what a DSB is? I in fact was actually just planning to top off with 3/4 RO/DI water.

Deep sand bed. I would not advise it. with everything out and available today, a DSB is outdated and if not done properly is a ticking time bomb IMO. Especially for a smaller tank too. worst part is if you have a DSB in the tank, and it starts to go bad, you cannot cut it off, whereas something like Vodka, bio pellets, coil denitrator, you can take it offline quickly.

I see the bucket in there, but where is your rock? that is one of the largest nitrate reducers available. a blue bucket wont cut the mustard.

You know spectrapure ro/di system are hand built one by one. It may be a week or two before you get it. Spectrapure is in AZ. You can't top off with ro/di, you need to add saltwater back in.
