I turned off my light the other night ,and after a hour or so I was going to use a small flashlight to look around .When I turned it on to my surprise, I saw hundreds of these small mosquitoe larva looking things all over the bottom in two or three diff. spots and free floating throughout the tank .It must have been a hatch of some kind.In the morning I looked around, but didn't see any in the water floating around.Has anyone have this same thing happen ? and what could they be?

Glad to here that's a good thing, I just never have seen so many of them at once like that. Thought that I was being over taking by some alien life form or something !! There must be diff. kinds of pods too, or maybe it's diff. stages I'm seeing because the pods I've seen in my tank before isn't the same as these ones.

    Bristleworms?

I used to have a swarm of tiny bristleworms in an old tank of mine in the evening. I'm not sure, but it could be small worms that you are seeing.

I have just picked up a Mandarin a couple of days ago which has been sucking down blood worms like crazy. Have been told that they eat pods too, so there should be plenty of snacks now eh?
