I have watched one colony of yellow zoas go down hill the last week or 2 and now It looks like another colony are going down also.

What iis the best way to treat? I have been looking for nudis but I do not seem to see any of them.

fw dip with a little bit of lugols works the best. Let it sit in there for 5 minutes and shake the pieces around to make sure it gets in the grooves. Now unfortunately the nudi will go to other zoa so I would dip everyone. Dip usually does not affect any eggs so I would dip again in a couple days and then in a week or so.

Is there any detritus collecting in the colony? Is it in a spot that gets enough flow? I had some of mine melt away with no sign of predation or disease. The detritus was enough to keep them from opening and caused them to melt away. Zoa frag in decline.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Look for Sundial snails if you have not seen a nudibranch first hand. If you decide to dip the zoanthids if there are nudibranchs you should be able to see the eggs, no eggs and I would doubt the culprit is nudis.

Also I would do as Clonefarmer advised and clean off any detritus that may have collected first. As well as post a picture to also rule out pox.

If you have nudis, they are very easy to get rid of in the tank.
Use Salifert flat worm exit and treat the wholetank, this works on the first shot!
I have done this several times in our coral farm.

zoas also like magnesium almost as much as SPS so check your mag levels, shoot for 1300 ppm
