It's been 48hrs since my female clown got caught in the powerhead and almost died. I finally got some decent pics of her. Her injury does not affect her bully attitude, how she swims or her feeding. If she didnt have the wound would have never even noticed she got caught in the powerhead. It's the circle towards the front of her body above her fin, its like a full circle in person. I don't have any kind of treatment and i dont have a spare hospital tank to treat her in.

How long do you think it will take her to heal?

theyre a hardy fish, and i would expect it heal up fine, and more than likely quite quickly. especially since shes back to her old self.

Time will depend on the fishes immune system and overall health. It's hard to say though, she should be able to heal in a few weeks, maybe even sooner.

I think fish can get scars just like any other animal. She sure is pretty though, hopefully she heals completely. I hope this was her lesson to stay away from the power heads too :) lol.

Feed her well, and keep the water conditions great, and she will heal up in no time. Some fish can scar if bad enough, but I dont think this is the case on this fish.

she also nips at some GHA thats been growing on the powerhead, wonder if thats the reason why she got stuck, funny thing is this is the only spot of GHA in my entire tank
