ok guys ive done some research heres what i know so far:

they are cold water fish. no higher than 74 degrees

need to be fed 3 times daily. a minimum of 2.

    need pristine water quality

    they are messy eaters

30 gal minimum ( i dont really know on this. this is what it said on live aquaria but it seems weird. any help??)

no anemones or corals that can sting them

no other fihs for competition for food

i will get tank bred so their used to frozne mysis

i should have some copepods so they can scavenge throughout the day.

Did i miss anything? if so what so i can add it to my notes. also can i reuse a filter that was used for freshwater a few years ago? if so i just need to wrinse it out real good right? thanks guys. ALL of you are a big help to my tank so far!!!

There are dwarf seahorses that you can put in a 10gal that will do just fine. Keep a variety of food as they can decide they don't like one type of food out of the blue and you'll have to find their new favorite.

does anyone kow the dwarf sea horses scientific name so i can search them? are they less hardy than regular sea horses?

ok guys there is one last thing that is holding me back.

guys i had trouble keeping a dwarf lionfish alive and a sargassum angler alive, how the heck am i gonna do sea horses? are they easier as i am only gonna buy captive bred and they are already on frozen foods? i'm up for a challenge but im just very nervous. what do you think? maybe im just tired, but thanks to you all!

I think if you wanna do something interesting do a snowflake eel by it self. Its not something everyone has and in a 30 gallon which I'm guessing you have it would be fine by itself.

I had a baby and he was awsome never tried to escape but I took him back to go reef and didnt wanna mess with him to get him out later. Just get a tight fitting lid. Another cool thing you could try would be to get a pair of clowns in there and get them to mate. Once they lay eggs put them in your other tank and breed em 8)
