Would it be okay to house one in a 6 gallon?

Do they really smash glass tanks?

Do they jump or try to escape? Would I need a lid?

What is a good price to pay for one?

    Thanks

The smashing glass thing is up for debate. They CAN smash thin, cheap glass, but generally don't. If it's a cheap 6 gallon tank then I guess there's some risk.

But as far as I know, a 6 gallon tank is too small. You'd be looking at double that, preferably more. The sites I have read have suggested a 20gal minimum.

Price wise, I don't know for people in the USA.

6 gallon is WAY too small for a peacock. I had mine in a 29g and I was worrying that it was going to outgrow it soon
