I would definately get one. Well worth the money especially with the drive. We bought ours at bulkreefsupply.com. I don't know about the well water issues, but the guys there should know. They are very friendly and helpful.

well water will have alot higher TDS to start with so the life of your filters will go down a little, but as long as you keep up with the maintenance (changing pre-filter, flushing membrance, etc) it will still be well worth the money.

Well water can have much higher mineral content. I use SpectraPure's RO/DI and love it. Superior quality, great customer service, 3reef sponsor with great deals for 3reef members. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

I would highly recommend a unit with a TDS meter or get one after the fact.

Well water can have higher tds,all the more reason to use a ro/di system.Be sure to check the size of the area you would like to install it,these things are quite large.Air Water and Ice offer a compact version which is slightly smaller but the d/i cartridge won't last as long and is not refilable. Also check what you will need to install it,supply valve, drain saddle ect.I recently bought a system off of ebay only to find I need to order these from AWI to be able to install it as my local hardware stores don't have what I need.If you would like to get an idea what to do when installing one you can look at the instructions in AWI website.
