Thinking about getting rid of the tank

    I hope so too, I wouldn't mind helping them out....once we're settled in our new home, if I do decide to get back in the hobby, I'm hoping they would hook me up with some frags....they are pretty much getting the tank free for buying our home, that's the least they can do right? Not everyone get started in our hobby with a tank like this ;D

    That would kind of worry me. Then never had the little problems that you learn from in the beginning when, if things go bad, you aren't losing thousands of dollars worth of live stock. After having those problems you learn to catch things faster and what not so you can prevent the major problems.

    True....but they want it. Luckly for them it's a very stable system that pretty much take care of itself other than 8 wk 15% water changes, dosing alk/Ca and feeding the fish. If they stick to this and don't introduce any new livestock (no room in the tank anyway), their chance of success isn't too bad. I wouldn't encourage them not to test water parms, but I don't even have to do that regularly anymore, if I test twice a year that's alot. The only parm I really have to test is SG when I do water changes.
