I got a chance to purchase a male and female flame wrasse along with a male rhomboid wrasse for $180. The owner is downsizing his tank and looking to sell some of his livestock. Is this a good deal for the 3 and what are some things I should look for before purchasing? Thanks in advance fellow 3reefers!

Ummm.... hech yes! Normally a single flame wrasse will run $150.

Not to mention the $200+ rhomboid

Thanks for the helpful link and advice! Hopefully I'll be picking them up this weekend. I'm really kind of nervous though as this is going to be my first "expensive" fish purchase... Wish me luck!

biggest thing is to make sure you have a jail break proof lid of some sort, they will get out of the smallest openings, trust me, have had 2 of them dry on the ground from the tiniest places to escape from. Good luck

If you don't have a lid, build this for $20

dang, there was a person that did that awhile back somehow, personally I'd just rig it up and get some strong bendable plastic that you can intermitteningly gap along the front with the screen holder and glue it in place with some epoxy. I'm sure if you talk to a knowledgable guy at Lowes, they can help out, but trust me, no holes. I had a $100 DD wrasse make his way out a nickel size hole behind a filter.
