The ammonia is pretty high... conerningly so. I'm also concerned that your cycle has lasted this long with obviously present ammonia. Very concerned. Congrats you might be in that .001% where your cycle went HORRIBLY HORRIBLY WRONG.

I'd recommend (though egads I hate suggesting it as I tend to berate people for adding chemicals and such to tanks) one of those bacteria packs everyone sells. You might also try adding a piece of LIVE live rock as I think you're missing some of the diversity of beneficial bacteria. When cycles go this long, something's not quite right, but it should be easy enough to set right. Look for the packs of cycle products which contain bacteria not enzymes.

And ooh yeah, TAKE YOUR WATER TO THE LFS TO CONFIRM YOUR TEST RESULTS. Bad kits suck. When things look wrong and you're in the .001% make sure your test kits aren't contaminated or otherwise stupidized.

i've been thinking about the additives, and i have a live rock but a good portion of the rock is dead, probably from shipping from fiji to the lfs.

I took a water sample to the lfs a few weeks ago to see if my test kits were off, and they read exactly the same, and they showed me the results so they were telling me the truth, even though they said it was safe to put fish in, i didn't.

And i really hope this isin't the .001% of where the cycle goes wrong, because i havent been doing anything to the tank lol, all it's been doing is just sitting and getting top offs.

i should also mention that i have seen NO trace of any life besides of course, coralline, alge and live rock. But what i mean is no live of any hitchikers, no copepods, no worms, no nothing, except for a clam and that's it, and maybe a sponge or two, and some plant type stuff that are popping up everywhere on my rock, and now seem to be bleeching with my new light

I can't possibly see how a cycle takes 9 weeks and ammonia is still present. I just can't. I would add a fish and see what happens. Not 2. One.

i would add the wrasse first, i'll do a bit more research on it to see how hardy they really are, if they aren't super hardy, what are the chances of having clowns pair if their not added at the same time?
