Right now I have a cut 5gal water bottle as my fuge but I was looking around and taut I should use my extra tank for one and fill the space in my sump with LR. What I’m wondering is what should I use for flow & lights. IM thinking 2 power heads one in and one out. I’m up for suggestions on setting this up.
    Here is my current setup

IMO, I would simplify your "add-on". Replace the 5 gallon bottle with two sheets of plastic eggcrate panels covered with fine plastic sieve sheets to catch loose debris. Place the chaeto between these two eggcrates. Then mount a Lowes clamp-on-lamp with Sylvania's 6500k 26w power compact bulb equivalent to 100w or 1600 lumens. You've just eliminated the extra pumps and the extra heat from your current power compacts.

See I was thinking about my new fuge being like a display tank.

im a little confused, im not sure how your current set up works but more gallons will equal more water stability so if by adding this 30 gallon hex you get more gallons than go for it, as for pumps, your shouldnt need much, maybe a koralia nano

Flow from the hex to the main tank not for circulation
