Sharing some ideas... I found an approx 30gal slanted front, plastic tank. FOR FREE at the dump. No leaks. Cleaned it out today.
I'm going on a long trip, but once I get back I'm considering making a large connected system of a couple tanks. And really delving into this, and learning things along the way.

I needed some "professional" idea's on this thought... I don't know the technical terms for EVERYTHING yet. And I'm still relatively new to this, but I know I don't plan on stopping.

I'm going to go get a good, big filter this summer, and start up that tank.
I want to go big, suggest a good filter.
    I also need a ro/di filter, pretty bad. :/

Suggestions as to where I could get one for cheap? aswell as an awesome filter system?

    other suggestions would be appreciated.

Slanted front tank? Never heard of it.

Sounds like a neat idea to have tanks plumbed together in one system. It makes for easy maintenance, IMO. I've seen it done before. A few 3reefers have their build threads, doing this.

You could get an inexpensive RO/DI unit by getting it used on ebay or even on the "for sale" broad here on the forum.
