Just throwing out some other options, all the lights out here are good quality and prices. Also for a 55g depending on what coral you're planning on keeping 2x or 4x T5's are a great option.

I did a few days of research before i made my decision. I ordered it Friday so i havent gotten it yet. I ordered the Solar 8-Bulb 24" T-5 fixture, with moonlights and mounting legs, i got it for under $400 shipped. Best deal on anything over 4 bulbs i found.

I had him wire up the blue actnics on there own plug and the other 6 10k bulbs on another plug so i can simulate a dusk/dawn cycle on the aquarium. This alos brings my total wattage up to 192 watts or 4.26 WPG. Im ashamed to say what my current setup is but never the less im upgrading.

If you could post your impressions of the build quality when you get it, I would greatly appreciate it. For the wattage, the fixture they have is a great deal, but I've gotten "great" deals before. Just trying to be a little more sure this time.

    Thanks!

I was skeptical as well, but after several days of searching all google, i found that like other companies they have some downfalls but most have been fixed in the last year or so. One guy had 3 of his 6 bulbs get smashed in shipping. So now they ship them with a wooden frame and a ****on of bubble wrap and foam to prevent this issue. From what i have seen the build quality is great and each one is handmade so its not some chinese stamped aluminum thats assembled here. They also sell some other great stuff, im buying some of his stuff for my bearded dragon cage, new cage comes in soon so im excited.
