    Hi
I am thinking of upgrading to MH, My Tank is a Juwel Vision 450 20 inch deep from top to the top of my sand. I am thinking of getting a Arcadia series 3 pendant with 2 150Watt with 2 aticnic tubes, I am thinking of having it 10 inches above the surface so that will make it 30 inch deep, will this be enough light for my tank to keep sps?

i'm not familiar with the arcadia fixtures but it sounds as though you will have plenty of light for keeping sps. i would recommend starting with some easier to keep sps, place into the tank and adjust the height of your mh accordingly to how the corals react (colors fading, becoming burnt, etc.).

With the new MH bulbs out there ists not bad now XM bulbs are 59 dollars for 10k 0r 20k. The initial purchase of the ballasts are expensive though. How many are you planning to purchase?

I would have to say 30 inchs is a little far for 150W MH. I would go at least 250W . That tank is a 120G Tank? If you want to go SPS and 30 inches I would look into 400W lighting.
