    Heya again!
Man I love this forum, So many quick responses for my stupid mistakes >.<!
    Anyhow!
My problem is that I have a TON of small fine particles that are just SO annoying. I tried using seachem Clarity and Filter sponges for fine particles. I know that it is my red spotted goby that is stirring up the sandbed but I would have imagined that the filters and clarity would get rid of them. They are non stop though. Please advise!

    Thanks soooo much 3reef!

Do you have your powerhead pointed near the sand bed? Try adjusting powerhead a bit.

You can try running a filter with a micron polishing medium in there when it gets cloudy. Other than that, I'd just stick with carbon. Sand stirrers are a good thing for a healthy sand bed.

Is your tank and sand relatively new? Is the addition of the sand sifter new? If so, for the first few weeks there will be a lot of fine particles in the water column, but once the sand matures it will start to calm down.

I had the same problem. I had to use a turkey baster to clean off my corals and LR. I think my mess making gobey died. I was sad and happy at the same time....
Good Luck! It's really a PITA. I think my problem was I used to fine of sand in my sandbed.

just give it time, those gobies are blowing a lot of particulate matter in your sand bed around, as the sand gets less "dusty" so to speak as they clean the top layer it will clear up.

in the mean time run some filter floss, that's about all you can do.

some fish are just messy and don't care, I have a maroon clown who constantly blows my sugar sized aragonite around, so always at least a few sand particles drifting around the tank, but the weather varies depending on his mood. he likes digging, and he can move a LOT of sand, carries shells around in his mouth spits rocks...
