i found this linked to on my fish guy's new website. apparently he did it all himself, controller and all. i'm not sure what i think about it but it was impressive enough to pass along. i'm sure that if i had that thing in my living room the noise would drive me crazy! any thoughts to running a tank like this? not that i'm going to do it, just curious.

i really like that. i love the way it looks. the fish swim, pause, swim, pause bc of the tidal shifts... much more natural looking IMO.

I dont know. Kinda cool but also kinda scary seeing that water slosh back and forth. Seems like it would get annoying after a while of watching though.

if i could somehow have a canopy obscure the surface of the water flying around and have my returns below the low point of the water (or play the soundtrack to the video loud enough to mask the splashing). i think it would be cool. i really like the way the corals sway with that motion as opposed to the chaotic flow in my tank. its almost mesmerizing. do you suppose this kind of flow is more beneficial to SPS or what is the motive behind it? i guess you would have any sedimentary detritus...
