I swear it looks like the LPS is dancing to the beat of the music!!
I think that set up is best used on huge (300 gal.+) tanks.

It looks too unnatural to me. Waves in the ocean are never quite that quick.

I think even my tank is too small for a wavebox.

Agreed. In a small tank the wave period is too short and looks too unrealistic. In real-life the swaying would be much slower.

my fish guy, who is planning on using this kind of set up on his home tanks has a 300g+ and a 500+g. the 570 has to be over 7 foot long so maybe his wave will look a little better. btw, he's like the coolest guy ever

Cool, but I would rather see that on a much larger tank. The wave is too fast. I wonder what kind of stress that causes on the tank?

Its cool, and kudos for DIY. However, on a reef the surge is much more, you get pushed around alot at depth. That just looks annoying, like boat wake slapped against a breakwater.

It's a cool idea, but (1) the wave is too quick and it doesn't look like there is actually that much flow in the tank; (2) you would need a wave tank to do that or risk losing everything very quickly; (3) the corals don't look natural IMO, they just go quickly back and forth and (4) finally, it makes me sick looking at it.

It's the 12th, at 2pm until whenever, and if need be there can be an afterparty at my place;)

BTW, I didn't blow all my $$ on reef stuff and got Danielle a ring. We are engaged now:)
