Right on, man! I had to give up the skating when I got married and had a kid, gave up the motorcycles when I got divorced!

Hence the salt tank She Who Must Not Be Named would never let me have - too much money, too much work, too noisy; all the things I love about it!

I've seen my share of hobbies growing up. It was kind of a way my parents kept me out of trouble. It worked!!!
All I know is the older you get the more expensive hobbies become.. I went from drawing and skating as a kid, to football and BMX as a teen. Then I got my first job in my teens at HobbyTown USA to support my remote control car racing, which switched to flying electric airplanes and helicopters. Then, Yamaha Motor financed my quad, and my new job had me snowboarding 40+ times a year.. Turned 21, started playing poker and craps. Recently, I purchased my first SLR camera.... Which really breaks your bank if you get hooked (which I am). Macros, landscape, action, protraits, I'll all over it.. And who knows what other little "flings" were in between all that..

The one thing that has stuck with me this whole time was keeping aquariums. For about 15 years, my house has had some kind of aquarium in it. I always liked salt water, but cost was an issue, and I was always afraid after hearing horror stories. I finally took the plunge about a year and a half ago and will probably stay at it for a long long time..
