    For some reason my dog is wondering around the house licking the carpet and just recently started throughing up(nothing out of the ordinary just his dog food). Im not sure what is wrong with him but he will not stop no matter what i do he is drinking water and panting, anyone have a clue of whats wrong? At first i thaught mabe he just had an itch on his tongue but i dont think it is after he puked:confused: plz help fast.

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Try to figure out if he got into any house hold products.

    Also look if you can and see if he has something stuck in the roof of his mouth or throat.

    Good luck, if it does not reslove quickly sounds like a trip to the emergency vet.

    he has not got into anything that i can see,hes been in the room all day with me, and i dont see anything in his mouth, i did notice they had a recal on a bunch of dog foods in my area and i dont see his listed but im wondering if something isnt wrong with his food its purina beniful if anyone knows somthing i dont. im starting to get rlly woried now because he has been doing this for an hour strait now.

    Did you accidently drop something on the floor and track it around the carpet? Dogs can go OCD and they do weird behavior when the weather begins to change trust me I have 4 Doxies in the house and the stuff I see them do.::)

    not that im aware of i was fine i thaught he was just going crazy when he was licking the carpet but hes doing that and the puking is what has me really worried.

    Take it to the vet. No one here is going to be able to diagnose a sick animal through the internet!

    he finally quit licking the carpet and puking, im really thinking it was the food he ate, guess al have to switch and see what happends, thanks for the help.

    My chow chows lick the floor and carpet all the time and switching dog food can actually make your dog sicker because its used to the current food its eating.

    That fact that the dog is vomiting is a problem, if diarrhea sets in you really need to get the dog to a vet asap IMO.

    What color is the vomit? I know its gross but imporant. If he is just puking up foam and acid then take him to the vet. If you switch foods mix it slowly with the new stuff.
