I always ask my buddies if they are going to come over and look at my hairless...kitty. ;) That is the best part of having her, there is absolutely no shedding at all!

You know, I just have to ask. I keep coming back to this thread out of curiosity - I think it's wonderful you adopted this cat, and I'm sure she will be a great pet for you.

But how the heck did you decide on it? I mean, to say it got the short end of the ugly stick is putting it politely. Is it a fun animal? Is it that personable? I have never seen one of these cats in person so I truly have no idea? I really do not mean to be rude, i'm just very curious.

I ended up deciding on this cat after two important factors. The first being that my girlfriend wanted a cat (since I have my tank) but I did not want hair. With this in mind I began surfing the internet and found out about the Sphynx cat. I mentioned this in passing to my girlfriend, and she thought the same thing most people think...that they are god awfully ugly.

Then one day we went to a buddies house to get some coral from him and he had one of these hairless cats and my girlfriend instantly fell in love with him and wanted one from then on out. We were lucky enough to find a reputable breeder a few hours from us. It is not the cheapest cat to buy, but it is by far the most amazing cat I have seen.

It is definitely personable, she loves to watch the fish tank, watch tv, talk to us, and run all over the house and play. She is truly a fun animal to play with and enjoy time with.

I will try to get a video up of her sometime soon so everyone can see what I am trying to convey in words. Hope everyone enjoys, here are some more pics, and let me know if you have any questions.

Girl at work has one. She always keeps a sweater on him to keep him warm.

Oh yes...my girlfriend already has a sweater for her. I can't say I am a fan of clothing animals, but it does help a bit that it is a rasta sweater with a jamaican peace symbol on it!

 I'd love to get one because my husband is allergic. Unfortunately, he hates cats as well as being allergic to them so he'd absolutely try to shoot a hairless if I got one

I've heard that they have the same type of personality as a Siamese (my favorite breed) so it's almost the same as having a dog. Siamese cats have wonderful personalities and definitely keep you company, unlike your typical domestic shorthair!

My friend has two of those. Very ugly but they're still neat cats.

My Siamese cat, Carmen, lived for 19 years. She was one of the neatest cats I ever owned.
