this is probubly a stupid question but...

when you frag a coral and you put the coral on the frag plug can you use normal super glue or do you have to buy special reef safe glue?

 

Use superglue gel.....Namebrand stuff is the same with a huge pricetag attached

 

so it doesnt have to be reef safe but it cant be normal super glue?

 

Yep, standard Wal-Mart super glue gel works. I bet I have a couple pounds of the stuff in my system with no ill effects.

 

You can use original super glue it's just more dificult to put it where you want since it is thinner and will run

 

great thanks everyone its just i had a huge colony(over 150 polyps) of yellow polyps we put some similar to that magic bond putty stuff that my dad said would be fine. but no it disintegrated in the water over my polyps and killed all of them but 4

 

Ewwwee yea when it comes to epoxy putty don't skimp!! Buy the stuff from your lfs

 

can i use gorilla glue?

 

Never done it but it's a wood glue and I'm willing to bet it would kill everything in your tank , just buy loc tight gel superglue it solidifys on contact with water
